Biography

Richard Boubel, a career faculty member in Mechanical Engineering at OSU, is known worldwide for his research capabilities in the field of air pollution. He developed a significant graduate training program in air pollution and served as president of the Air Pollution Control Association in 1978-79. He has remained active in the profession after retirement, having a variety of contracts with the U. S. government. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from OSU in 1953, an MS in 1954, and a PhD in environmental engineering from University of North Carolina in 1963.
